Diana vases, made in Sydney, Australia c.1940s

Vase with a fluted bowl and small handle, blue-green and brown drip-glaze: "post-war pieces with ... ‘kangaroo- haunch’ bases. The vase bases -together with the green & brown colours – represent Australian nationalism at its best." - with thanks to re:retro
Pair of vintage blue-green and brown posy vases: "... these vases evidence a post-war nationalism in the use of drip glaze colours : the particular Australian browns and greens of the Eucalypts."

The bowl and wall pocket vase are marked 'Diana' (click for more information about Diana Pottery).  The handled vase is labelled 42A, and the posy vase is stamped 24.
